I've not seen your angry side so I can't comment on the violations, if any, of site policy.

While I understand it's easier said than done, if you know you're right, it doesn't matter what people who are wrong call you; don't react. They are compounding their own mistakes. You are still right. The people who understand the argument get it and aren't persuaded by misinformation.

Further, no one who matters thinks less of you if you are wrong. People make mistakes, you, me, everyone, even those who prize excellence in their work. One mistake people make is attacking others for honest mistakes. It doesn't matter what anyone calls you.

I understand triggering actions. When I encounter coal rollers, for example, I get apoplectic. It's all I can do to avoid a shouting confrontation or worse. But Perspective also informs me that I won't change the world or even one person that way and could both harden that person's position and/or get myself killed. The outcome when I'm that off-balance can't be good.

Have confidence in your views. Have humility as well. Use your own best strategies to gain perspective before you react. With all of those you can avoid overreacting. I'd hate to see you leave.
